The penultimate stage of the week-long USA Pro Challenge took place in Colorado on Saturday. The sixth stage is a ten mile time trail through the town of Vail. All eyes were on the Jens Voigt for Saturday's time trail. The German took to the streets of Vail for his last professional time trail. The winner of Tour de France, Tour de Italy, and USA Pro Challenge stages finished in a time of 27 minutes and 13 seconds. The Romanian cyclist Serghei Tvetcov continued to be the surprise package at the USA Pro Challenge. Tvetcov entered the time trail with a position on the podium in third place and that was where he remained.Tom Danielson needed the race of his life if he wanted to challenge for the top place. And the Amercian who finished third last year finished this year's course in 25 minutes and 19 seconds. But it was the man out in front in the overall classification who set the benchmark.Despite the rain pouring, Tejay van Garderen smashed his own record by 37 seconds to win the time trail. 24 minutes and 26 was the fastest time in the course's history. Van Garderen increased his overall lead in the race to one minute and 31 seconds before the final stage on Sunday from Boulder to Denver.
