    Highlights from day eight of the Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China on Sunday (24th August).

    Script:

    The cycling competition of the Summer Youth Olympic Games came to a close with the international mixed team relay.

    Each team was made up of two men and two women that took on a mountain bike course and then passed the baton on to the road riders.

    Italy's Chiara Teocchi had a good start on the mountain-bike cross-country leg before handing over to Federico Mandelli.

    But the Cezchs were not far behind.

    Coming into the third leg on the road, Roman Lehky of Czech Republic overtook Italy's Manuel Todaro and it was neck and neck after that.

    Both teams handed off to their team-mates at the same time for the final lap.

    However, it was Czech's Nikola Noskava that won the vital sprint finish as she beat Sofia Beggin in a photo finish.

    Czech Republic claimed the gold while Italy finished the same time to take silver.

    The athletics action continued at the Olympic Sports Centre Stadium, with Natalliah Whyte of Jamaica the favourite to win women's 200 metres gold.

    She had a brilliant final 100 metres to finish the race in 23.55 seconds and took the gold medal.

    In canoe-kayak, Belarus triumphed with two gold medals.

    Kamila Bobr won the country's first gold medal in the women's C1.

    Her compatriot Stanislau Daineka sealed another gold in the in the men's K1.
