Script:
There was an all-Korean clash in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League on Wednesday, as Pohang Steelers entertained FC Seoul.
The visitors had the first clear chance in the fifth minute - Koh Myongjin fired in a shot from distance and Pohang goalkeeper Shin Kwa Yong initially spilled his effort, but recovered to see off the danger.
On 15 minutes, Pohang thought they had taken the lead after Kim Seung-dae put the ball in the back of the net, but the strike was disallowed for a foul inside the area. In the build-up
Go Moo Yul's challenge caught Seoul defender Lee Woon Chee in the face and the assistant referee's flag went up.
The second half saw few chances for either side until the hour mark.
Then on 62 minutes Pohang defender Kim Kwang-suk found himself unmarked inside the Seoul penalty area, but he couldn't direct his header and a golden chance went begging.
Fifteen minutes later, Seoul midfielder Ko Kwang Min got on the end of a sweeping move, but some brave defending prevented his shot from finding the target.
Late in the game, Pohang coach Hwang Sun-Hong threw on Park Sun-Ju and Son Jun-ho in an attempt to break the deadlock, and it was the former who had the final chance of the match, firing a shot narrowly wide in added time.
But it finished goalless.
