Script:
The USA Pro Challenge is underway. It started in Aspen Colorado, stage one here a three lap circuit covering just over 60 miles. United Healthcare rider Danny Summerhill was most keen early on.
But Lachlan Norris of Drapac took the day's first climb up the mountains in Snowmass then he led the peloton up the second king of the mountains sprint too.
Summerhill earned bonus points when he won the second intermediate sprint in Aspen.
Jamis-Hagens Berman rider Ben Jaques-Maynes pulled away with 15 kilometres to go.
But Kiel Reijnen of UnitedHealthCare Pro Cycling would go on to win the first stage, edging Alex Howes of Garmin-Sharp in a two-man sprint across the finish line.
So a thrilling start and the great thing is, this goes on all week.
