Donington Park hosted the seventh and final Formula E testing event on Tuesday, ahead of the first-ever championship race in Beijing next month.

Formula E is a new FIA championship featuring Formula cars powered exclusively by electric energy - and the inaugural race will be held next month in China's capital.

Some of the driver's names will be very familiar to motor sport fans, none more so than Senna and Prost.

Bruno Senna, nephew of the late Formula One driver Ayrton will be racing for Indian team Mahindra Racing and is excited by the novelty of a new racing format

"I think it's going to be awesome. I think the first race will be an experience for everybody. No one knows exactly what to expect. I think we'll see a few problems happening which is normal for a new championship."

Bruno Senna's late uncle Ayrton had no greater duel than that with Alain Prost the man who co-founded team e.dams which his son will drive for. Despite the maiden year of Formula E, he has high hopes for the sport.....

"When we are going to be in China it's going to be a different ride and a different environment. I want to see the success of Formula E in China with a big crowd and everything going well together, a nice rice, very spectacular but we don't know."

With Prost's son, Nicolas, riding for e.dams, the offering of a new Prost/Senna battle would go a long way to publicising the first electric powered cars series which begins in less than a month.
