  • Intro:

Serena Williams and Ana Ivanovic win three-set semi-finals to set up a meeting in the Cincinnati Masters final.

    Script:

World number one Serena Williams overcame Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki 2-6 6-2 6-4 in the Cincinnati Masters semi-finals on Saturday.

Despite being was far from her best, the 32-year-old was upbeat after the match:

    SOUNDBITE (English) Serena Williams:

"I feel good about the final. I feel like I'm looking forward to it... and playing Ana [Ivanovic] also is great. We've had incredible matches this year."

Standing in the way of Williams' first ever Ohio title is Serbian Ana Ivanovic, who had a time out for heat-induced nausea on her way to beating Russia's Maria Sharapova 6-2 5-7 7-5.

    SOUNDBITE (English): Ana Ivanovic

"Yeah, very happy with the victory today, it wasn't an easy match at all. I had the match in my hands in the second set and I let it slip a little bit. I was a little bit passive which I was quite disappointed about. In the third set, when it mattered the most, I really stepped up and played some good tennis which I was very pleased with."

Ivanovic has only beaten Williams once in eight years.
