    Script:

Marco Wittmann's domination of the 2014 dtm drivers championship continued at the Nurburgring.

He started this incident packed race on pole and the first corner was a sign of things to come. His competitors battling against each other just to get near him, It was all too much for Miguel Molina's Audi. He retired early, as did Mattias Ekstrom, a huge boost for Wittmann as the Swede is second in the championship.

This was not a good day for Audis, Timo Scheider and Nico Muller highlighted that.

On lap 12, Jamie Green rammed Augusto Farfus off the track, both drivers carried on but the damage to Farus's BMW eventually took its toll and he had to retire.

The only man to really test Wittmann was Mike Rockenfeller, he came out of the pitts four seconds behind the leader.

The gap was big enough that the BMW driver still held on even after missing this chicane.

He crossed the line 1.2 seconds in front of Rockenfeller. Edoardo Mortara would join them on the podium who is now third in the standings.

It's hard to see anyone catching Wittmann now though, this win gives him a 64 point lead with just three rounds remaining.
