"I felt good out there. Very disappointed to get out when I did. I thought I had a good chance to get a hundred there. But that is how goes. One (ball) that bounced a bit - probably shouldn't have played it, to be honest."

    (English): Ravichandran Ashwin, India

"Today was a very good batting day. The sun came out, it (the wicket) pretty much flattened out. The seam movement was wearing out as the day went on. So it was quite a hard day for the bowlers but I thought that we toiled well and got something out of it. If we had got a couple of more wickets, it would have been ideal. But I thought we gave it all. We gave it everything that we had."

    (English): Gary Ballance, England

"Yeah, it was a bit of a wobble, a bit of a collapse - which is not ideal. Early on in the summer, it could have been an eight or nine-wicket collapse - but it was only four wickets I think. So it was great the way Rooty (Joe Root) and Jos (Buttler) counter-attacked at the end there really put us in a strong position."

    (English): Ravichandran Ashwin, India

(On how the team feels at the moment - demoralised?) "I do not have a word to come up with. But, see I personally think it is ... everybody else has a bad day, we also have bad days. So it has happened. It has happened for a brief period of time and like you are already stating out the scores. What we go in every day is to try and enjoy the day as much as possible. After all, we are playing the game that we love so we have to try and enjoy it as much as possible. That is one way of taking time away from thinking about these things. So we have actually enjoyed ourselves in the slips. We were having a chat, we were talking about the game, about how the wicket has become better and how well we can bat in the second innings.
