England reached the Women's Rugby World Cup final for the fourth time in a row as they outclassed Ireland in Paris on Wednesday.

A dominant performance from the pack enabled England to hit back after Alison Miller gave Ireland a 7-0 lead.

Tries from Rochelle Clark, Kat Merchant, Kay Wilson and two by Marlie Packer secured a 40-7 victory.

Waiting for England in the final is Canada, who withstood late pressure to beat hosts France 18-16 in the other semi-final.

Canada wing Magali Harvey scored the try of the match when she ran 80m from a scrum in her own half.

France twice went over late from rolling mauls from line-outs but they paid the price when Sandrine Agricole failed to convert the tries at Stade Jean Bouin.

Canada have finished fourth in the World Cup three times but have never reached the final before.
