    Seven players from two countries lead the Fiji International after the first round at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course.

    The Fiji International teed off on Thursday at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course.

    America's Jason Kang led after the 14th hole but he ended the day in a tie for 18th after shooting a two-under 70.

    Liang Wenchong of China birdied at the second but he finished the opening round off the pace with an even-par 72.

    His compatriot, Wang Minghao, fared better and shares the lead with six Australians after carding a four-under 68.

    One of the Australians is David McKenzie, who was helped by this excellent birdie at 13.

    Fellow co-leader, Stephen Dartnall, sank five birdies but could not take the outright lead after a bogey at the ninth.

    Co-sanctioned by PGA Tour of Australasia and OneAsia, this one million dollar purse, four-round event is the first world-class golf tournament staged in Fiji, attracting more than 120 professional golfers.
