    Script:

Stuart Broad didn't train at The Oval on Wednesday as he continued his recovery from the broken nose he suffered during at Old Trafford.

The ECB have said that Broad's absence was planned and he is in line to play in the fifth Test, starting on Friday.

    Moeen Ali was training.

Not too many critics would have thought the spinner would have taken 19 wickets at 22.94 in four Tests at the start of the series.

Alastair Cook will be delighted with Ali's progress but what he will want the most is that elusive century.

The captain hasn't scored a Test ton since May of last year.

Cook did score 95 at The Rose Bowl but he will want to end this series victorious on a personal and collective level.

James Anderson will looking to add to his 21 wickets and to retain his place as the leading wicket taker of the series.

Wins by 266 runs in Southampton and an innings and 54 runs at Old Trafford have given England the chance to seal the series at The Oval.
