2016 Rio Olympic Games organisers insist that although construction at some main Olympic venues is still an an early stage, all projects are under control and will be delivered on time.

    Script:

The 2016 Olympics Games will be getting under way in Rio de Janeiro in two years time.

Although, a quick glance at the Olympics Park might leave one struggling to believe such a statement.

In fact, construction appears to be in its infancy, not even the outline for structures is currently visible.

Nevertheless, local organisers insist that all projects are under control and will be delivered on time.

In fact, the reason there are no structures yet is because construction has been focused mainly underground.

According to Roberto Aibinder, the project director for the Rio Games, an entire city has been built underground.

Rio has two years to complete everything in time for the Games, but it appears the city is repeating an all too familiar story.

Brazil just finished hosting the World Cup, but much of the build up was spent focusing on whether stadiums and infrastructure would be ready in time.

Looking at the Olympic venues today, it too may be the subject of scrutiny by the IOC as the Games draw ever closer.
