Some of England’s Gold medallists at Boxing at the Commonwealth games have been speaking about their victories and future plans

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Scott Fitzgerald, 2014 Commonwealth Games men's welterweight boxing gold medallist:

"Yeah I'm so happy to have won that gold medal. It's still hardly sunk in, even the next morning when I woke up today I didn't know whether to believe it still, and I'm 'made up' (happy)."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Scott Fitzgerald, 2014 Commonwealth Games men's welterweight boxing gold medallist:

"If I'm going to be kept on to prepare for the Olympics, which is what I want, then at least after that, if I can go there and do well then I'll maybe think about going pro. I'm still 22, I'd be 24 after the Olympics, so that's when I'd consider it."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Nicola Adams, 2014 Commonwealth Games women's flyweight boxing gold medallist:

"Oh I'm absolutely overwhelmed, I can't believe I've been able to create history again for my country, and it just makes me feel a real big sense of pride, and I'm just so proud to be able to have done that."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Nicola Adams, 2014 Commonwealth Games women's flyweight boxing gold medallist:

"Oh, it's definitely as highly-ranked as my gold at the Olympics, definitely. Every time you get to make history, it just has to be!"

SOUNDBITE: (English) Nicola Adams, 2014 Commonwealth Games women's flyweight boxing gold medallist (On dealing with being the face of women's boxing in the UK):

"After 2012 it took me a while to get used to everything. I'm quite honoured and proud to be able to be in this position, to be able to inspire the next generation to get into sport and get involved with boxing."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Antony Fowler, 2014 Commonwealth Games men's middleweight boxing gold medallist (On Vijender Singh, his opponent in his final):

"Definitely. I knew he was going to be a very tricky customer. He was Olympic bronze medallist and a world bronze medallist, so he's at a high, high level. But I knew it was my time. He'd had his day, he was a bit older than me, he's been around the block, but I'm younger, fresher, hungrier, and I think it showed on the day."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Antony Fowler, 2014 Commonwealth Games men's middleweight boxing gold medallist:

"Yeah, Rio is the main goal. It's been the goal since London (2012) finished. I watched in awe at the Olympics, I was very, very jealous of the lads boxing there, so hopefully in Rio I can get my time to shine."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Antony Fowler, 2014 Commonwealth Games men's middleweight boxing gold medallist (On whether his cousin, the former Liverpool footballer Robbie Fowler, had been in contact to congratulate him):

"Yeah, he sent me a text yesterday to say well done, obviously my whole family have been very supportive, and it's great to have. Obviously football's massive in Liverpool, and boxing is close behind."
