SOUNDBITE: (English) Tom Daley, England diver (On winning 10m platform Commonwealth Games gold):

"I mean, for me it's always nice to be able to retain a title. It's always more special to win it that second time to know that you're still up there, you're still going strong. For me it's a massive stepping stone towards Rio."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Tom Daley (On how the 10m performance on Sunday would stand up in other competitions):

"Well, if I did that performance that I did last night in the World Cup, I would have got a medal at the World Cup. It was a solid performance. There were things that I could have done better, things that I was happy with already, but it's kind of hard to compete, especially when, you have to have those Chinese (divers) right there, to chase them, and the chase is almost what makes you dive the best."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Tom Daley (On balancing his diving career with TV work, and criticism of his priorities):

"When I was leading to the Olympics I was at school full time, and nobody told me off for going to school full time. So for me it's always nice to have a distraction, and I don't actually do that much (TV work) at all, and diving is always my number one priority."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Tom Daley (On his role as one of the senior members of the team):

"I'm definitely getting to be one of the older, more experienced members of the team, and it's always nice to have young people in the team, because it keeps it fresh. They always ask questions, and it's nice to be able to try and guide them for them not to make the mistakes that you made, going up in their career."
