SOUNDBITE: (Hindi) Yogeshwar Dutt, 65 kg freestyle wrestling champion (on his gold medal win)

"Look, I put in a lot of practice and hoped to do well here. We had the blessings and prayers of all Indians. Of course I expected to win gold here. We thought we could win four or five gold medals, we only won three (in the men's categories), but overall we won seven medals. The good thing is we won today and I was confident before the bout. In all the four bouts, I finished the fight two to three minutes ahead of time. So I was confident and felt good about doing well at the Commonwealth Games."

SOUNDBITE: (Hindi) Yogeshwar Dutt, 65 kg freestyle wrestling champion (on the pressure before the final)

"Yes, there was pressure. Indian fans were expecting me to win gold as I had won in the previous games. My performance at the Olympics (bronze medal) also added to the pressure. So expectations were high. Before we left India there was a controversy regarding us wrestlers not attending trials. But we always skip the trials. Officials from our federation make a schedule ahead of events like Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and Olympics. Anyway, the pressure was high because everyone in India looked at wrestlers to bring medals home. So the good thing here is that we won 13 medals out of 14 entries."
