Broad explains his partnership with Anderson

Wednesday, July 30 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Reaction from bowler Stuart Broad and batsman Ajinkya Rahane on Tuesday (29th July) at the end of day three of the third Test at the Rose Bowl.
England's bowling attack reduced India to 323-8 in ideal batting conditions on Tuesday to leave the home side with a commanding lead of 246 runs at the end of the day's play.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English) Stuart Broad, England bowler:

"I think it shows the value of partnerships as bowlers. You often see two batsman batting together, so you just assume that that's the only format you have to work as a partnership. Jimmy (Anderson) and I are constantly talking, not just out in the field but in the nets and working together. Even now, we've played a lot of Test match cricket, I'll still ask Jimmy (in) the last ball of an over 'what shall I bowl?'. He'll ask me. We work really tightly. To have got 500 wickets together is massive really. It's a really great feeling. I only heard it ten minutes ago."
