Intro:
John Isner secured a second successive Atlanta Championship title beating Israel's Dudi Sela 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday (27 July).
Script:
John Isner was up against Dudi Sela at the final of the Atlanta Championship on Sunday.
In a match that largely followed serve, Isner's power and reach proved to be the difference between the two players.
In fact, the American produced 15 aces to the Israeli's two, and Sela's failure to convert his only break point of the match effectively consigned him to defeat.
Isner on the other hand converted his break points as he went on to close the first 6-3.
The defending champion went on to secure the second set 6-4 and his second successive title in the process.
It is the fifth consecutive year that an American triumphs in Atlanta following Mardy Fish in 2010 and 2011, and Andy Roddick in 2012.
SOUNDBITE: (English) John Isner, Atlanta Champion:
"I absolutely love playing here. I can't thank all you fans enough for the incredible support, I've always played so well here, you fans have been fantastic all week, I've needed you all on my side in every single one of these matches, so thank you guys."
