The Belgian team's number one car, driven by Rene Rast in the final stages, finished seven seconds ahead of the number 77 BMW Sports Trophy Team.

The number 1 Audi maintained a comfortable lead over the relatively uneventful opening laps and managed to see out victory despite a number of disruptions throughout the race.

The safety car was on the track for the first time after 95 minutes when the SMP Racing Russian Bears Ferrari crashed out, but a slew of crashes forced three more safety car appearances.

Nine cars were retired in total.

Belgian Audi Club Team WRT maintained pressure on HTP Motorsport at the top of the standings, sitting two points behind on 104.

The Blancpain Endurance Series' next stop will be at the Nurburgring in Germany from the 19th to the 21st September.
