Yeah I think mixed feelings sums up quite well. Frustrating when you're five runs short but if you'd have sat there talking to me yesterday and you've had offered me 95, I would have snapped your hand off. Obviously delighted that I've got 95. Frustrated that I haven't managed to get 100.

SOUNBITE: (English) Alastair Cook, England captain

"Hopefully tomorrow, we can build on what we've done today and when we bowl it keeps swinging because actually it is a good wicket to bat on at the moment. It's quite evenly paced but I think, I don't know why I think it but I think it will get slightly quicker for a little bit."

SOUNBITE: (English) Alastair Cook, England captain

"I just think it's a sense of contributing to the team. I can't tell you how frustrating it is as a batter when you keep going out and you keep scoring runs. You sit back there in the dressing room, everyone is supporting you but you still feel as if you are letting people down but it's quite nice that you do score and contribute to obviously. Ultimately it's been a good day for English cricket. Obviously Gaz scoring another 100. 250 for 2 is a good day. We've got to earn the right again in the morning and go big."
