Pablo Andujar beats compatriot Francisco Verdasco on Saturday (July 26th) to reach Suisse Open final in Gstaad.

    Script:

The unseeded Pablo Andujar of Spain beat compatriot and fourth seed Fernando Verdasco 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 to reach the final of the ATP 250 Suisse Open in Gstaad on Saturday.

Andujar came within two points of beating the 2011 runner-up on three occasions when he served at 5-3 in the second set.

But two double faults in the ninth game cost him.

Verdasco capitalised on the gifts, but he was broken when serving at 6-5.

Although Verdasco cruised through the tie-break, Andujar regained his composure for a 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 victory in two hours and 15 minutes.

In the final - his first since he won the 2012 Grand Prix Hassan II in Casablanca in Morocco - Andujar will meet another unseeded player, Juan Monaco of Argentina.
