"Well, wherever you are under par on a course like this it is a good round and to be six under is, as you say, very satisfying, I played smart. I played pretty good. Not everything was great but a lot of good and some great in it. I didn't make too many mistakes and that is what it comes down to in the end."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Tom Watson, USA:

"Well it was..we got the break today and the wind died for the afternoon groups today and we played with very little wind to really make a big difference to any of the shots. Bernhard played in the toughest conditions and there he is way up there and way ahead of us and we are not even in shouting distance of Bernhard right now but I was happy about the way I played and I drove it well on the 13th hole and the par five and the 18th hole I turned it loose with the old bones...everything kind of timed together with a big drive there, a six iron to the last hole so...I made eagle and that was a real nice way to finish."
