Led by manager Roberto Martinez, Everton arrived in Thailand Friday for a weekend preseason friendly against newly promoted Leicester City.

The Toffees players and staff received traditional flower garlands upon their arrival in the Thai capital.

Last season under Martinez, their first after long-time manager David Moyes' ill-fated move to Manchester United, Everton finished sixth and booked a spot in the Europa League.

Joining the club in Thailand will be 21-year-old Bosnian midfielder Muhamed Besic.

Besic, who will not feature in Sunday's match and is Everton's second summer signing after England international Gareth Barry confirmed his move to Goodison Park at the start of the month.

Leicester arrived earlier in the week and trained on Thursday night.

The 'Foxes' won the Championship last season to gain promotion to the top flight.

New Leicester signings Leonardo Ulloa, Marc Albrighton and goalkeeper Ben Hamer are in the squad in Thailand.
