SOUNDBITE: (English) Scott Stevenson, Director of Sport, Commonwealth Games Canada:

"Medals? Yeah, we're going to win some medals! We're shooting for, we believe, in the reviews that we've done, we're going to be in and around third place. We were fourth in Delhi. India had a pretty solid, large team there. We anticipate moving back into a place where we're going to push the Aussies (Australia) and the English a little better than we did back then. Scotland's going to have big team, they have a big team, they're going to have a very strong team. The Kiwis have a bigger team than they've had, and the Welsh have a bigger team than they've had. With all those home nations, it's a strong group from the UK. But we do believe that third place in the overall standings is about where we should be."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Custio Clayton, Team Canada boxer:

"We're just so ready to perform, and show Canada that we're here to bring home some medals, and it's just been an honour just being here. I've been, like you said at the 2010 (Games) in Delhi, it was my first Commonwealth Games that I've been at, and it was a great experience, but I'm looking at this one to be an even bigger experience for me, and I've got a lot of goals that I'm here to achieve, and I'm just looking forward to achieving them goals, and I just want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting us, and I'm just ready to rock and roll right now."
