SOUNDBITE: (Italian) Rudi Garcia, AS Roma coach (Q: Towards the end of last season, you said that Roma's objective was not only to take part in the Champions League but to do well and go as far as possible. Do you feel this team is ready for the challenge to go through at least the group stage.)
"Well first of all, the first major objective of this club should be to play in the Champions League every single year. So it is necessary to continue producing a strong performance in the league. Once the Champions League draw takes place we will see what happens. There are no small teams in Champions League but still we could be drawn into a potentially very tough group with three big teams and in that case we will see what we can do. But what I want to say to our fans is that they should not attach too much importance to these friendly games because that's not Champions League, and moreover our first games will be in the (Italian) Championship and not in the Champions League and Championship (success) is our main goal for the season."
