Josh Sheehan won the Red Bull X-Fighters stop in Munich under brilliant blue skies in front of 18,000 spectators on Saturday, on a first-of-its-kind track built on a lake next to the Olympic Stadium.

The Australian pulled out all the stops with a dazzling assortment of the toughest FMX tricks that had the big German crowd on its feet.

Taka Higashino of Japan took second place after an action-packed final on the 450-meter long linear circuit on the Olympic Lake while Levi Sherwood of New Zealand finished third.

Sherwood still leads the 2014 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour with 265 points and two victories in the four stops so far with Sheehan in second place and Tom Pages of France in third, heading into the season finale on August 23 in Pretoria, South Africa.
