Guangzhou R&F hosted Jiangsu Sainty on Saturday hoping to keep in touch with the title chasers at the top of the Chinese Super League.

Guangzhou boss and former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson watched on as his side roared into the lead, courtesy of Zhang Yuan. Eriksson liked what he saw.

After the break, the visitors did manage to find the back of the net... although unfortunately for Jiangsu's Eleilson it was at the wrong end of the pitch.

2-0 down and when all hope was seemingly lost, Zhuoxiang Deng's delightful through ball was finished by Sun Ke.

Eleilson then made amends for his earlier mistake to equalise in what appeared to be the final act in this thrilling drama.

But there was more excitement still to come. With Jiangsu still celebrating, Guangzhou kicked off for the restart, Wang Xiaolong went on a mazy run and Abderazak Hamdallah stole all three points.
