"Well the golf course is in wonderful shape, the weather's what you expect here, there's a little mist coming down and through the valley of Glen Devon over there. It was a good day on the golf course, Keegan Bradley was here today to see the golf course for the first time. He's a very impressive player, he could very well make the team. He's not quite there in the points right now but he wants to be in the team in the worst way."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Keegan Bradley, USA:

"Well we got a lot of points coming up here in the next month or two and, you know, the whole team could change overnight. So, I got work to do, yeah, I need to put myself in a good position at the Open Championship. I'm trying to win tournaments, so if I take care of that then I'll be on the team."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jim Furyk, USA:

"It's my favourite event, it's the one I look forward to the most. Right now I've got four weeks ahead to try and better my situation, I think I'm in sixth place right now, so to try to better that situation or at least hold pat and try to make the team. If and when that happens it'll be, you know, whatever the captain needs. I've played in eight of these, I do have some history and some experience around it and, you know, I believe I'd be a guy that he could call upon, whatever he needs as far as help with the other guys or leadership, or you know, just going out there and playing, I'm more than happy to do."
