Welcome to the battle of Hamburg. Local favourites Alexander Zverev and Tobias Kamke faced off in the Hamburg Open quarter-finals on Friday.
28-year-old Kamke is 11 years Zverev's senior and he put his greater experience to good use by romping to a 6-0 first set victory.
But the 17-year-old responded by taking the second 7-5 to level the match.
Zverev then won the third set 6-3 to become the first 17-year-old to reach the semi-finals of an ATP World Tour event in eight years. He takes on top seed David Ferrer in the last four.
In the second quarter-final, Argentina's Leonardo Mayer dismissed Dusan Lajovic in 75 minutes.
In the city that kickstarted the Beatles career, Mayer delivered a 6-1 thrashing in the opening set. The world number 46 was simply electric.
His Serbian opponent put up more of a fight in the second but Mayer prevailed 7-5. Next up is either German Philipp Kohlschreiber or Czech Lukas Rosol.
