Intro:
David Ferrer of Spain and home favourite Philipp Kohlschreiber book their places in the semi-finals of the Hamburg Open in Germany.
Script:
David Ferrer wasted little time in winning his Hamburg Open quarter-final against fellow Spaniard Pablo Andujar in Germany on Friday.
Ferrer took the first set 6-0.
In this German port, Andujar lost the second set 6-2 and the match in just 66 minutes. Ferrer was swimming with the current.
The world number seven has 17-year-old local hero Alexander Zverev standing in the way of his 44th tour-level final.
In the last of the quarter-finals, Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber took on Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic.
Kohlschreiber took the first set 6-4.
The Halle semi-finalist then won by the same scoreline in the second to set up a last four clash with Argentina's Leonardo Mayer on Saturday.
Mayer is undefeated against Kohlschreiber in their two previous meetings. But the 30-year-old from Augsburg is chasing his second title of the season, having triumphed on home soil in Dusseldorf.
