    Fourth seed Andrea Petkovic is through to the final of the WTA Gastein Ladies tournament after defeating Grace Lim 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 on Saturday (12th July).

    American qualifier Shelby Rogers defeated second seed Sara Errani 7-6 (14/12), 6-3 to reach the final of the WTA Gastein Ladies tournament on Saturday (12th July).

    Semi-finals day at the Gastein Ladies tournament in Austria and the excellent run of 2009 champion Andrea Petkovic continued against American Grace Min.

    Min, ranked 138 in the world and appearing in her first WTA semi-final, powered to a 5-1 lead in the opening set by out-hitting Petkovic from the baseline.

    The German number four seed powered her way back into contention before eventually, allowing Min to clinch the set 6-4.

    Petkovic quickly regrouped took just over half-an-hour to win the second set 6-2.

    Into the decider and following a rain delay early in the set, both women matched each other point for point until Petkovic finally broke for a 4-3 lead.

    It proved enough as she wrapped up the match 6-4 to earn a place in Sunday's final.

    She will face American qualifier Shelby Rogers after she produced yet another remarkable upset, overcoming Italian Sara Errani in straight sets to qualify for the final.

    The first set saw a fiercely contested match, which required an extensive tie-break to be decided.

    Rogers finally sealing it 14-12 to go up by a set in the match.

    Errani tried to get back into the game, but the psychological blow of losing the first set was too much for her to overcome as she lost the second set and the match 7-6 6-3.
