Englishman Danny Willett said he was happy to join Spanish duo Rafa Cabrera-Bello and Pablo Larrazábal as well as Emiliano Grillo of Argentina at the top of the leaderboard after the second round of the BMW International Open in Cologne, Germany, on Friday.

"Yes and no. Obviously, you can see making up ground and stuff and making birdies, so you're thinking obviously they're there, but at the same time every know and again it gets frustrating that you're not quite doing it as well. But no, I think we fed off each other really well the first two days. Obviously two identical scores. It's been a good three-ball for the two days, so yes."

"It was just a combination of several things of bad luck. I hit a really good drive, ended up on a slightly downhill lie and right in between my three-iron and my five-wood distance, so tried to hit a low cut with the five-wood, ended up pulling it a little bit and then when I got there it was a really, really nasty lie."

"I played great today, I played great yesterday. Yesterday I couldn't hole too many putts, but today, hole a couple at the beginning of the round and it helped me to keep it going..."
