With Wimbledon fast approaching, 19 year-old Madison Keys became the 23rd American to win the WTA's tournament at Eastbourne on Saturday.

Keys claimed her first WTA Tour title with a 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 victory over fifth-seed Angelique Kerber, hitting 17 aces in an exciting match.

In comparison, her German opponent failed to record a single ace throughout.

At one point, Keys recorded a serve at 126 miles per hour, the fastest on this year's tour.

The first two sets were decided on single breaks of serve - Keys going 3-1 up in the first set and Kerber breaking for a 2-0 lead in the second.

In the third set, both players held serve until a dramatic 12th game, where Kerber threatened to force the tie-break with two game points until Keys ultimately sealed the win with her fourth match point.
