Madison Keys recorded a straight-sets victory over Britain's Heather Watson at the Aegon International semi-finals in Eastbourne on Friday (20 June).

    Script:

Unseeded Madison Keys took on home hope Heather Watson in the semi-finals of the Aegon International on Friday for the chance to play Angelique Kerber in the final.

The American made quick work of her British opponent, saving all six break points she faced in the match, whilst converting four of her own.

A single break of Watson's serve in the opening set was enough to see Keys take it 6-3.

The 19-year-old from Illinois then scored a break in just the third game of the second set, and Watson had no answer, as her serve was broken twice further and Keys ran out a 6-3 6-1 winner. She will now face Kerber, hoping to take the Championship. The final preparation before the start of Wimbledon.
