Bouchard: " Clay to grass is hard transition"

Saturday, June 21 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Eugenie Bouchard thinks that the transition from the clay court season to the grass courts is a hard one to make ahead of the 2014 Wimbledon Championships, which start on Monday.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English): Eugenie Bouchard, semifinalist at both the 2014 Australian and French Opens (on her prospects at Wimbledon):

"It's always a tricky switch (from clay to grass). I think it's really two extreme surfaces and to have them so close together is definitely a tough one, but I think that's what makes tennis interesting, so I try to take it in stride and enjoy it. I do like grass, I won junior Wimbledon two years ago, so I always love coming back. It feels a little bit like home here and I'm looking forward to Wimbledon, of course."
