  • Intro:

Stacy Lewis holds one-shot lead after the first round of the U.S. Women's Open.

    Script:

Round one of The U.S. Women's Open, and World No. 1 Stacy Lewis leads the way after a 3 under round of 67..

The much-publicized 11-year-old Lucy Li held her own - at least over 15 holes. The youngest qualifier in Women's Open history would have been just one over par if not for a triple bogey and two double bogeys.

This her birdie on the 8th as she finished on 78. Some feat from a girl of that age.

Michelle Wie, someone else who made a very young start their golfing career also had a good round.

She ended the day a stroke behind the leader Lewis birdying three of her five holes on the back nine.

Minjee Lee ended the day tied for third place with So Yeon Ryu and Katherine Kirk at one under par.

The 18-year-old Aussie, who tied for 24th at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, is the top-ranked amateur woman.

And what about this eagle from Minjee Lee.

She ended the day tied for third place with So Yeon Ryu and Katherine Kirk at one under par.

The 18-year-old Aussie, is the top-ranked amateur woman in the tournament.
