"Well the thing was, I struggled a little bit the last year and a half with scoring well. The playing was fine. I went through a lot of changes and it took me a lot longer than I thought. Pretty much this year in April, everything started to fall into place and I could win fairly quickly after that. When I won the players, obviously that gives you a big boost. Then when you start off the U.S. Open the way I did, it gives a lot of satisfaction and belief that you can do well, and fortunately I could finish it off in May in Florida, now here in North Carolina. "

"Not bad being in good form in a Ryder Cup year too?"

Kaymer: "Yeah, Ryder Cup is huge. Once you play at the Ryder Cup, you always want to be a part of it and this year I think I put myself in a good position to be a part of it again."
