  • Intro:

Top seed Stanislas Wawrinka, Grigor Dimitrov, Radek Stepanek and Feliciano López were all victorious in the Aegon Championships quarter-finals at Queen's Club in the English capital on Friday.

    Script:

Radek Stepanek may have just sent defending Queen's champion Andy Murray packing but Kevin Anderson gave the Czech a shock on Friday.

The South African dictated proceedings in the first set of this quarter-final, which he eventually won.

Stepanek was too strong in the second set and launched a 120mph ace to seal the match 1-6 6-3 6-2. The 35-year-old heads into the last four, where he'll meet Spaniard Feliciano López.

López secured his spot in the Aegon Championships semi-finals by beating Stepanek's Davis Cup team-mate Tomáš Berdych.

The 32-year-old Castilian eased to victory in the first set.

The Madrid Open quarter-finalist faced a much stiffer test in the second but he held out to win 6-4 7-6.

López's mother is a nurse and he'll be hoping he has just the tonic against Stepanek.

Top seed Stanislas Wawrinka was the last man to book his place in the semis with an impressive victory over Australian Marinko Matošević.

The Swiss rattled off this backhand to secure the first set. Wawrinka denied Matošević a single break point throughout the match and ran out 7-5 6-3 victor.

The Monte Carlo champion will be looking to accelerate past Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the last four, after his opponent, Alexandr Dolgopolov, withdrew with a right thigh strain.
