  • Intro:

Argentina's women and the Netherlands' men's team are through to the semi-finals of the FIH Hockey World Cup after drawing with China and New Zealand respectively.

    Script:

After Argentina's men claimed a place in the World Cup semi-finals, it was time for Argentina's women to try to do the same.

And the challenge was made even harder as they were missing eight-time FIH Player of the Year Luciana Aymar - through injury.

Carla Rebecchi stepped up and gave Argentina the lead. But after some wasteful finishing China equalised late on through Peng Yang.

But a draw was enough for Argentina to qualify albeit, in the second place.

In the last pool game of the tournament, New Zealand's men managed a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands who were already qualified.

It took just eight minutes for the home nation to take the lead through Valentin Verga,

But New Zealand were able to end their tournament on a high with Jaap Stockmann's stunning goal,

It wasn't enough for them to qualify, the Netherlands will face England in the semi-finals
