Nadal celebrates French Open title at Eiffel Tower

    A day after winning the French open for the ninth time, top seed Rafael Nadal posed for photographers and fans in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris on Monday (9th June).

    Script:

    A day after claiming his 9th French Open title and the sun was still shining for Rafael Nadal.

    Following the Spaniard's four set victory over Novak Djokovic, the Mallorcan was greeted by fans around the Eiffel Tower.

    The final win over Djokovic means Nadal sits just on 14 Grand Slams, the same as Pete Sampras, and just three off Roger Federer.

    It's now 67 victories and just one defeat for the Spaniard at the French Open, that coming in the 2009 semi-final defeat to Robin Soderling.

    Nadal now heads for Halle in Germany for the start of his grass court season and building up to Wimbledon and his attempt at Grand Slam number 15.
