It was a case of double dutch in the hockey world cup as the Netherlands men's joined the women's hockey team by making it through to the semi-final stage on home soil,There were wins for Argentina women and China women in Group B.

It's been a Hockey World Cup to forget for England's women's team but It had looked good for England when Alex Danson gave them an early lead as she scored from England's only penalty corner of the game after seven minutes.

But Delfina Merino equalised for Argentina 20 minutes later.

The match looked like it was heading for a draw but with time expired on the clock in the second half, Argentina had a penalty corner - and, Carla Rebecchi got the last touch to give Argentina a late winner.

In the other match in Group B China took on South Africa in the day's late game knowing that they had a chance to stay in qualifying contention if they beat their opponents.

Wang Mengyu's goal ensured the win which means a four goals victory over Argentina on the last day will be enough to see them through to the semi-finals.

In the men's competition Unbeaten hosts the Netherlands took on South Africa in Group B knowing a win would confirm qualification for the semi-finals and they did so in fine style.

Sander Baart getting the final Dutch goal in a 7-1 rout with a superb solo effort with six minutes left.

The win sees Netherlands top Group B with four wins from four and qualify for the next round.
