Andy Murray looked ahead on Sunday to defending his title at Queen's Club

Murray will look to defend his 2013 Queen's title in the London tournament which gets underway on Monday.

The Briton joined an elite group of players to win Queen's - also known as the Aegon Masters - and Wimbledon in the same season, in what he described as "the best summer of my tennis career."

He equalled his best finish at a French Open earlier this month when he reached the semi-finals, only to lose emphatically to eventual champion Rafael Nadal in straight sets.

(Q: What are your thoughts coming here as the defending champion?)

"I always enjoying coming back here. My first win on the ATP tour came here, I think in 2005. So yes, it's coming up to ten years now of playing here and I always enjoy it. It's great. It's great preparation for Wimbledon and they have another fantastic field here again this year."

(Q: Last year you joined an elite group to win Queen's and Wimbledon in the same season. Does that give you more confidence this year?)

"Yes. It's obviously nice (to come back here after winning last season) some years I've had great tournaments here and Wimbledon hasn't gone so well, but last year, everything worked out perfectly and it was the start of the best summer of my tennis career for sure and I'm excited to get going."
