Long jump and pole vault athletes from around the world competed amongst the fans in the Golden Roof Challenge in Innsbruck, Austria on Saturday.

Germany's Sosthene Moguenara, a competitor at the 2012 London Olympics, claimed first place in the women's long jump event with a distance of 6.65 metres.

The Chad-born athlete beat her nearest rival, Russia's Yulia Pidluzhnaya, by a considerable margin of 0.26 metres.

The men's long jump was won by Pavel Shalin, with the Russian's 7.99 metre effort proving enough to edge ahead of Cuban Wilfredo Martinez and Germany's Markus Rehm.

Another Russian claimed victory in the men's pole vault as Sergey Kucheryanu beat both Konstadinos Filippidis and Edi Maia by 0.10 metres with a winning height of 5.58.

The event was part of the Golden Fly Series, where spectators and athletes alike are offered a unique, immersive experience where athletics can be watched at arms length thanks to a newly-developed multi-purpose, mobile 'FlySwat' competition track.

The series' next event is scheduled to take place in Munich on 25th June.
