Novak Djokovic and Ernests Gulbis booked their places in the semi-finals of the French Open with respective wins over Milos Raonic and Tomas Berdych on Tuesday (June 3rd).

Novak Djokovic progressed to the semi-finals of the French Open with a straight sets win over Milos Raonic on Monday.

Raonic, the number eight seed in Paris, did well to keep pace with Djokovic in the opening set, but the six-time Grand Slam winner took it 7-5.

Raonic had become the first Canadian in history to reach the French Open quarter-finals and gave a good account of himself throughout this clash, but couldn't prevent Djokovic coming through 7-5, 7-6, 6-4.

Next up for the Serbian will be Ernests Gulbis after the controversial Latvian overcame Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic.

Gulbis was in fine form eventually winning 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 and in doing so he reached the semi-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career.

Tomorrow sees Andy Murray take on Gael Monfils and David Ferrer face Rafa Nadal.
