The International Festival of Extreme Sports took place in Montpellier over the weekend, and Briton Daniel Grant came out on top in the wakeboarding event.

The 16-year-old of British and Thai parentage saw off competiton from Nico Von Lerchenfeld and Julian Cohen to lift the trophy.

"Thank you, I really appreciate it. I love this, especially doing all the stuff I've been learning and to show everyone what I've been doing out here at FISE. It's definitely the biggest event in wakeboarding, you get all these people out here and you get all the different sports."

As well as wakeboarding, the Festival brings together the best international riders in BMX, skateboarding, roller and mountain biking.
