Sunday, June 01 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

US golfer Phil Mickelson, 43, insists he has done "absolutely nothing wrong" after the FBI launched an insider trading investigation. The golfer, one of the US's richest and most-admired sportsmen, said he was co-operating with the government inquiry. Mr Mickelson, investor Carl Icahn and William Walters -- a high-profile gambler -- are being investigated for possible illegal share sales, using information given by Mr Icahn.

"You know, I can't really go into much right now. But as I said in my statement, I have done absolutely nothing wrong. And that's why I've been fully co-operating with the FBI agents and I'm happy to do so in the future too until this gets resolved. But for right now and hopefully it'll be soon, but for right now I really can't talk much about it."
