SOUNDBITE: (English), Christian Sprenger (On Australia's recovery after a disastrous performance at London Olympics):

" You know, to be honest it wasn't a complete disaster, the Olympics as everyone is calling it. You know but the Australian team needed to look at themselves again and I guess relive some of the past experiences we have had back in 2000, 2004, and just realise that it really is a privilege to be on the Australian team and you really got to earn your spot. And I think that really is working now, we had a great improvement in the world championships last year in 2013. So I think it is about taking the good experiences and being as positive as possible about our team morale and you know, it is working, we are coming together, we are so much better as a team now. And I think we are going to be very strong come Rio in 2016".

SOUNDBITE: (English), Christian Sprenger, ( On his aims in the near future)

" I think the road to Rio obviously has a lot in between and this year specifically the Commonwealth Games is going to be a big event for me. But there is a world championship next year, so there is a lot that I can do to improve my swimming prior to the Olympic Games 2016".
