    Hellen Obiri ran the fifth-fastest 300 meter time in history on he way to victory at the Diamond League meeting in Doha.

    The World Indoor champion two years ago produced a time of eight minutes 20.68 seconds to beat Mercy Cherono in second place.

    Elsewhere Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce led the way in the women's 100-metres recording a time of 11.13 seconds.

    Fraser-Pryce, the 2013 World Athlete of the Year, was one of three Jamaicans in the top four.

    Meanwhile Jamaica's Warren Weir and the USA's Curtis Mitchell were among the standout names in the men's 200-metres.

    Weir had to be content with second here in a time of 20.31, beaten by compatriot Nickel Ashmeade and his time of 20.13 seconds.

    And David Oliver powered to victory in a time of 13.23 in the men's 110-metres hurdles.
