  • Intro:

Allstars 1 triumphed in the 2014 Peak to Creek.

The team of Swiss and Austrians beat five other groups in the multi-discipline race in Austria.

    Script:

The Oetztal Valley in Austria saw 41 athletes spread across six teams competing for one of the most varied titles on offer in sport.

Ski Mountaineering, Skiing, Mountain Biking, Climbing, Road Cycling, Kayaking and Rafting.

Eight disciplines, one punishing event - the 2014 Peak to Creek.

Starting at a height of 3340 metres, the ski mountaineers got things underway with a 2.9-kilometre course, leading into the alpine skiers.

Mountain biking then takes over a hectic 21.8 kilometre mix of downhill and tarmac riding.

Next up, the mountain running section including a spectacular crossing of a natural bridge over a tall waterfall before the extreme climbers take over.

Water legs then come into play, with canoeing and rafting separated by a road cycling leg.

And this year's Peak to Creek was won by the Allstars 1 team, a combined group of Swiss and Austrian competitors.
