    Script:

Taipei 101 was the tallest building in the world until it was recently overtaken by the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Sunday morning saw more than five thousand runners race up Taiwan's tallest skyscraper in the 'Taipei 101 Run Up Race.'

Although the building is 590 metres tall, the finish line was on the 91st floor, 390 metres up from the lobby where the competitors began the race.

Competitors saw various groups, from individual runners, to charity relay groups and of course the elite runners.

Among the elite, Australia's Mark Bourne took the men's race with a time of 10 minutes and 54 seconds.

While the women's race was headed by Italy's Valentina Belotti in a time of 13 minutes and 22 seconds. Both racers were retaining their titles having won last year.

Nevertheless, reaching the finish line was an achievement for any of those who climbed the 2.046 steps up the building.
