Sterling ban the right decision - Griffin

Thursday, May 01 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Post-game reaction after the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Golden State Warriors 113-103 in Game 5 of their Western Conference opening-round playoff series on Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Earlier in the day, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver banned Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life for making racist comments in a recorded conversation, the first step toward forcing a sale of the club and permanently removing Sterling from the league. Silver also fined Sterling $2.5 million, and again expressed outrage.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers Forward:

"Honestly I had faith that the commissioner and the NBA was going to take some action. I honestly didn't think it was going to be as big as it was but I think it definitely made sense and it was the right thing."
